What happens when you sign up for tutoring
There is no commitment at this stage. Once we have your details we will phone or email you to book a time that works around school, sport and everything else.
- We assess your child before classes begin, so the first programme starts at the right level
- We talk through the subject, the session times available, and the tutor who would take them
- You see what a weekly programme would cover and what it would cost before you enrol
- Students up to Year 8 are reassessed every six months with a written report sent home
Enrolments are for a minimum of 10 sessions and continue from term to term unless you tell us otherwise, with three weeks of notice required. Senior students working towards NCEA, Cambridge or IB are best enrolled for the full year so we can schedule the right tutor for their subjects in advance.
Prefer to talk it through first? Phone 09 528 9207, or read the frequently asked questions and the session times and tuition fees.
Your details
Which subject?
Maths and statistics, English, or the sciences. Most students start in the subject where school reports show the biggest gap, and add a second subject later if it helps.
Which session?
Weekday afternoons from 3:30 pm, evening sessions, and Saturday mornings. Years 1 to 6 have a shorter 60 minute option at 3:45 pm.
How many students?
A maximum of four students to a tutor, every session, so your child gets real attention while still working independently and building confidence.
