What is in the Straight A's newsletters
Each term newsletter is written for parents and takes about five minutes to read. It is the first place we publish what is coming up, so it is worth downloading even if your child is not currently enrolled.
- School holiday programme dates, courses and how to book
- I.C.A.S. competition dates and the courses that prepare for them
- NCEA and Cambridge revision sessions before each examination period
- Study tips and practical advice for supporting learning at home
- Centre news, tutor introductions and student successes
Newsletters are published as PDFs you can download and keep. Older issues stay available, so you can look back at what was offered in previous holidays.
Get it by email
Subscribe with the form in the footer of any page and each new issue arrives in your inbox as soon as it is published. We only send the newsletter and occasional centre notices.
Looking for the holiday programme? The school holiday classes page explains what runs each break, and the current newsletter has the dates.
Download a newsletter
The most recent issue is at the top of the list. Each newsletter opens as a PDF, so you can save it, print it, or forward it to another parent at your school.
If you are looking for something specific from an earlier term, such as a holiday course outline or an examination revision timetable, phone the centre on 09 528 9207 and we will point you to the right issue. Enrolled families also receive the newsletter by email at the start of each term, along with any notices about session times over public holidays.
